Authors need to create an account/register with the journal at Manuscript central – Scholar One prior to submitting or, if already registered, author can log in and begin with submission. The system will be leading you step-by-step through the submission process.
We strongly encourage you to associate your ScholarOne account with your ORCID iD today.

Important Notice for Authors Submitting to JIOS Starting April 1st, 2025, all new manuscript submissions to the Journal of Information and Organizational Sciences (JIOS) must be made exclusively through the ScholarOne Manuscripts platform. We appreciate your cooperation as we transition to this new platform to improve the submission and review process. |
PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMISSION:
Submissions should not exceed 15 pages (without references and appendices) in length, but also should not be shorter than 8 pages. If submission exceeds this limit, please discuss the appropriateness of the length of your submission with the Editor-in-Chief before submission.
- Abstract should be written according to the Guidelines provided in the template.
- Tables and Figures should be placed in the main text.
- The manuscript should be written in good British or American English.
Submission should include at least (please see submission pack above for templates):
- Title page should contain the information identifying the author such as author(s) names, ORCID number, author(s) institutions, funding or grants and acknowledgements and author(s) contribution. The Title Page will not be visible to reviewers should the paper be peer reviewed.
- Anonymized manuscript excluding Authors’ names and affiliation, following this template format. Nothing identifying the Authors should be in this document.
The manuscript will be checked for technical details. If there is missing some of the technical details, the manuscript will be returned to the corresponding author. After the technical screening, editors evaluate the manuscript. After initial article assessment, editors decide to send the paper to double peer-review or reject a paper if the Journal's requirements are not fulfilled (for example, the aim or scope of the Journal, etc.).
Authors should avoid self-citation and if there is a need to point to previously published work, they should refer to this as “previous studies” or do it in the third person in the same way they would refer to any other author’s work.
By submitting the paper to the journal authors agree to allow all users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the papers in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. The submitted papers are assumed to contain no proprietary material - responsibility for technical content and for protection of proprietary material rests solely with the author(s) and their organizations and is not the responsibility of the journal, its publishers or its editorial staff. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to obtain all necessary copyright release permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials in the manuscript prior to the submission. The main author, either first or corresponding, is responsible for ensuring that the paper has been seen and approved by all the other authors.
