Peer Review Process

The peer review process at the Journal of Information and Organizational Sciences plays a crucial function in ensuring the selection of papers that meet the journal’s high standards of quality and impact within the scientific and professional communities it serves.

This process, based on a rigorous double-blind peer review system, is entrusted to external reviewers who are esteemed experts in their respective fields. These reviewers, who work independently and without knowledge of the authors' identities, evaluate the submissions to maintain impartiality and fairness.

The primary responsibility of external reviewers is to assist the Editorial Board by assessing the originality, quality, and relevance of the manuscript in relation to the journal’s aim and scope. They also ensure that the manuscript adheres to the formal requirements outlined in the author guidelines. The review process entails a thorough and critical analysis of both the content and structure of the manuscript, conducted with a constructive approach.

Reviewers of the Journal of Information and Organizational Sciences are part of an ever-expanding international pool of specialists, typically holding doctoral degrees or possessing notable reputations in their fields. Preference is given to those who have published in prestigious journals indexed in databases such as Web of Science and Scopus.

All papers under review are treated as confidential. Reviewers are expected to refrain from disclosing any details or utilizing the information for personal or third-party benefit. Should it be necessary to seek advice or verify data with other experts, the authors will be duly informed.
