Peer Review Process
The peer review process at the Journal of Information and Organizational Sciences (JIOS) is designed to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and relevant research that aligns with the journal’s aims and scope.
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, involving at least two independent external reviewers who are recognized experts in their respective fields. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts without knowledge of the authors’ identities, ensuring objectivity and fairness.
The primary role of reviewers is to assess the manuscript’s originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the field of information systems and its organizational, industrial, or societal context. Reviewers are also expected to provide constructive feedback to support the improvement of the manuscript.
The journal maintains an international pool of reviewers with strong academic and professional backgrounds, typically holding doctoral degrees and demonstrating active research engagement, including publications in internationally indexed journals such as Web of Science and Scopus.
All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose or use any information from submitted manuscripts for personal or third-party purposes. In exceptional cases where additional expertise is required, the editorial office ensures that appropriate procedures are followed in line with ethical standards.
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.
