Anti-plagiarism policy

Anti-Plagiarism Policy
The Journal of Information and Organizational Sciences (JIOS) maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and is committed to ensuring the originality and integrity of all published research.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using appropriate detection software prior to the peer review process. Submissions that show significant overlap with previously published work, including self-plagiarism, will be rejected.

Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • copying text, ideas, data, or results from other sources without proper citation
  • presenting another author’s work as one’s own
  • reusing substantial parts of previously published work without appropriate acknowledgment (self-plagiarism)
  • improper paraphrasing or insufficient citation

Editorial Procedure
If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the editorial or review process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately. In cases where plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal will take appropriate action in accordance with publication ethics standards, which may include issuing corrections, retractions, or notifications to relevant institutions.

Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are entirely original and properly referenced. By submitting a manuscript to JIOS, authors confirm that their work complies with ethical standards and does not contain plagiarized material.
